Metal nanoparticles in organic photovoltaics

We investigate the potential of metal nanoparticles of variable sizes and shapes in enhancing the light absorption properties of organic solar cells. For this piurpose, Maxwell's equations are solved numerically. The propagation of electromagnetic waves in space and time is performed using the FDTD method.
